My grand mother taught me local way of advertising my goods.

We can aswell apply the principles of modern day advertisement to promote our business.

We are now in the era or social media/digital marketing .

When I was small, my grand mother will always send me to market to go and sell Oranges) Each time I went to the market I usually come back not selling any one. One day, she asked  me how  I used to sample my( Oranges) and I told her that I used to leave them inside the  basket and cover with tray that I was waiting for people to ask me what I was selling, my old grand mother laughed!!.

She taught me to open my bascket,  sample my (Oranges) and shout ..,......goonu Oranges,.....goonu ( meaning buy ( Oranges).... so that people will see my  goods and buy from me.

I tried it several market days  and I sold off all my ( Oranges).

When I came back home she  taught  me ..that if you dont tell people what you do or sell , and where you are ,....nobody will know. We may call her local woman indeed ,but there is a sense in this.

 Advertising knowledge has been in existence before our  great grand fathers.

Now have you ever seen Agege bread seller ......what does she use to shout ???

Have you seen a cobbler (shoe maker) what sound does he used to make.?

Even the mallam that wants to buy rejected materials ,what sound does he used to make.?

All my analysis boils down to advertisement.

You can see that even the local men and women understand advertisement .

Find out modern ways of advertising I have just told you a lesson from my grand mother.
